Youth social entrepreneurship and sustainable development are intrinsically connected as two ways that not only enhance employment opportunities but also support other elements of development such as youth participation, community engagement and positive socio-cultural impact, when, as mentioned in the Youth Social Entrepreneurship and the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations, “entrepreneurial ecosystems are aligned with the needs, characteristics, constraints and ambitions of young people.
The project ESE aims at cultivating the entrepreneurial spirit in young people, with a particular focus on social entrepreneurship, generating positive social impact in terms of employment and inclusion. The project will promote social integration and offer personalized learning opportunities to learners, through its final outcome.
On Wednesday 23rd of September, the consortium of the Erasmus+ project European Social Entrepreneur (ESE), held its 3rd transnational meeting which was planned to take place in France, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic the partnership organized it online. During the online meeting, the project partners had the opportunity to discuss ESE’s dissemination activities, the design of the Manual for Social Entrepreneurship and the next training activity that will take place in Cyprus in January of 2021.
All the topics that were analyzed during the meeting are of great importance, in order to maximize the impact that ESE will have on its target groups, which consist of Young people (especially from disadvantaged background), youth workers, youth organizations, local authorities, companies, employment centres and schools and stakeholders who are active and/or interested in the subject.
Dissemination activities are a crucial part of the project as they will function as communication milestones that will increase awareness regarding the project and will efficiently engage the target audiences, particularly young people. During the meeting, particular attention was paid by the partners to the project’s the Manual for Social Entrepreneurship so it will be a comprehensive, informative and broadly accessible of knowledge regarding social enterprise on a European level and beyond. All members of the consortium are looking forward to the training activity in Cyprus, during which trainers from every organization will participate.
